"The Conscious Universe" is a book by psychologist and parapsychologist Dean Radin which provides a thorough overview of parapsychology research up to 1997. The book covers the evidence for psi, describes the meta-analysis performed on this evidence, examines all published or prominent criticisms of parapsychology research, and draws the conclusion that psi is rigorously and thoroughly demonstrated by existing experimental evidence. "The Conscious Universe" also discusses many of the properties of psi that can be deduced from experimental evidence, considers the philosophical implications of psi, and examines the social impact psi will have. Radin also considers the psychology of skepticism, and examines how philosophical preferences have caused the acceptance of psi to be so strained despite an overwhelming mass of experimental evidence.
