Who is the "we" that decided that pop culture references are irrelevant solstice? I don't see it anywhere in the veriwikipedians thread in questions and feedback, nor the veritas wiki thread in the main hall. I suggest if people "decide" such things in the chat, or other place where public logging of such decisions is harder to come by, that such decisions be placed somewhere public. ~kakkarot 11:39, 11 Aug 2005 (PDT)

If I wanted to intimatly inform you of a decision that was made between staff members, I will. The reason that was stated should be adaquite, as far as the regular members are concerned. --solstice 17:52, 11 Aug 2005 (PDT)
Ah, a staff decision. Note that from a regular member's perspective this wasn't made clear (or at least, I don't see it having been made clear previously) so the concern of a group of people seemingly privately making decisions for all of veritas-wiki is valid.
That it was a staff decision is quite different from a memberbase decision which was not made public. ~kakkarot 02:43, 12 Aug 2005 (PDT)
In the future, decisions about a page's content should be placed or summarized on that page's talk page, especially if a future edit contradicts what was discussed. That way everyone can understand and discuss why a decision was made, and where certain content should most appropriately go. Completely open communication is helpful for coordination. .

I'm not allowed to edit the rules, as I expect none of the moderators are unable, as well. Thought I should add that. --solstice 19:47, 12 Aug 2005 (PDT)
