Ritual magic, as it's name suggests, is magic performed through use of a ritual to bring about a desired result, exalt the soul of the Magician, or invoke/banish certain entities or energies. Rituals usually involve acting out certain parts of an Adepts life in hopes to bring about a certain result (usually invocation of the LVX), as seen with such rituals as the Analysis of the Key Word (AKW) and the initiation rituals of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The symbols in each represent something very real, and these rituals also greatly alter the psyche and soul.

Common Rituals

Commonly given to beginners to begin practice are the Middle Pillar Rite (MPR), the Lesser Ritual of the Pentagram, and the Qabalistic Cross of Light.

Later on, such rituals include the Analysis of the Key Word, Greater/Lesser Ritual of the Hexagram, the Supreme Ritual of the Pentagram, and the Opening of the Watchtowers.
