Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a mental state in which areas of the subconscious mind are brought to the forefront, and the conscious mind is temporarily suppressed, bringing one into a state of heightened suggestibility. Hypnosis is either done by a hypnotist, who performs a hypnosis procedure on another person, or by self-hypnosis (aka autohypnosis) where a person hypnotizes themself.
